New Fellow in the Winter Term: Tanja Klemm

We welcome our new fellow Dr. Tanja Klemm at the CAS »Imaginaria of Force«. Tanja Klemm is a freelance art historian and works as a curator, mediator and publicist. Her research focuses on miracle-working images, healing artifacts, ' pictorial magic', natural philosophy and medicine in the Late Middle Ages/the Early Modern Period; her cross-period and cross-cultural research interests are ceramics/clay as material, 'Raw Art', art and ecology, material and crafts, tactility and "sensitive objects"; her theoretical focus includes visual practices and (historical) phenomenologies of embodiment, enactivism, (historical) visual anthropology, art history and ethnology, visual studies and ethics of making. During her research stay at the CAS from December 2023 to March 2024, she will investigate the topic »Balances of forces: Leonardo's moving figure in the third part of his Libro di pittura«.
