New Fellow in the Winter Term: Thomas Hensel

We welcome our new fellow Prof. Dr. Thomas Hensel at the CAS »Imaginaria of Force«. Thomas Hensel is Professor of Art and Design Theory at Pforzheim University. His research interests include the history of media and science of art history (especially Aby Warburg), early German painting/drawing (in particular Albrecht Dürer and the Danube School), design history and theory (in particular Bauhaus and Hochschule für Gestaltung Ulm), as well as game studies (with a particular focus on the iconicity of video games). During his research stay at the CAS from October 2024 to March 2025, he will investigate the topic »How to Equip Power Skeleton. Reflections on Game Mechanics of the Video Game«.
