Annoucement: 29.10.2024 Panel discussion »Energielandschaften zwischen Gestaltung und Politik«
28 October 2024
Landscapes have to meet a wide range of demands. They serve agriculture and the extraction of raw materials, provide habitats for animals and recreational spaces for people. More recently, climate change and the resulting energy transition have had a significant impact on the appearance of the landscape, raising questions about how it should be used and conserved. How can the different demands on the landscape be managed and how can the landscape of the future be shaped?Raimund Rodewald, Director of the Swiss Foundation for Landscape Conservation, Anselm Sprandel, State Councillor for the Environment, Climate, Energy, and Agriculture, and media scientist Birgit Schneider will discuss the challenges and opportunities of energy transition in the context of landscape conservation and political regulation. The discussion will be moderated by Franca Buss and Mia Hallmanns.
