As part of the first »Nature Writing Festival Hamburg 2025«, Frank Fehrenbach and Georg Toepfer will talk about the past and present of Nature Writing. Using images and texts, they show that nature, which has been repeatedly declared dead in the visual arts and literature for centuries, could hardly be more alive and present. How does this recurrence come about? What are its contents and structures? And what leads through history to what we now call Nature Writing?
