Announcement: 26.06.2025 Talk Ruzana Liburkina and Cornelia Zumbusch: Ökologische Sorge: Literatur- und sozialwissenschaftliche Perspektiven im Dialog
11 June 2025
›Care for the World‹ or ›Sorge um die Natur‹: What has become an apparently self-evident buzzword in current debates raises a number of questions on closer examination. What are the emotional foundations, ethical standards and concrete practices of care/Sorge? Is it a matter of affectionate care or rather an anxious anticipation of the future? What ethical criteria should be met when interacting with nature? Can care be formalized or even enforced? And which historical and contemporary practices are reflected in terms of Sorge or care? Cornelia Zumbusch and Ruzana Liburkina explore the possibilities and limits of ecological concerns in a dialogue between literary history and contemporary NatureCultures (NaturenKulturen).
