New Fellow in the Summer Term: Peter Probst

We welcome our new fellow Prof. Dr. Peter Probst at the CAS »Imaginaria of Force«. Peter Probst is Professor of Art History specializing in African modernism at Tufts University in Boston. His research interests intersect art history, ethnology, and museum studies, ranging from questions of modernist theory and the history of ideas to the generational dynamics of heritage. During his research stay at the CAS from May to July 2026, he will investigate the topic »When Forces Turn into Politics: Art and Conflict in a Nigerian Energy Landscape«.
