New Fellow in the Summer Term: Antje Schmidt

We welcome our new fellow Antje Schmidt, M.Ed., at the CAS »Imaginaria of Force«. Antje Schmidt was a postdoctoral researcher in the ERC-funded project »Poetry in the Digital Age« at the University of Hamburg until 2025, where she researched ecology-technology relations in multimodal 21st century poetry. Her research focuses on German-language literature of the seventeenth century and the nineteenth to twenty-first centuries, particularly contemporary poetry, as well as on literature and ecology, literature and post digitality, critical posthumanism, ecocriticism, and feminist and gender studies. During her research stay at the CAS from April to September 2026, he she will investigate the topic »Ecofeminist Perspectives on Earth as an Elemental Force in Long Nineteenth-Century Literature«.
