Announcement: 21.04.2026 Lecture of Cornelia Zumbusch: ›des Dichters Mühle‹. Goethes west-östliche Wasserwirtschaft

Prof. Dr. Cornelia Zumbusch will give a lecture at the Goethe-Gesellschaft in Weimar e.V. on »Goethes west-östlicher Wasserwirtschaft« (Goethes west-eastern water management). Many poems in the »Divan« mention the »Dichters Mühle« (poet's mill) and other hydraulic structures. This lecture interprets them as metaphors through which Goethe conveys important poetological ideas.
