New Fellow in the Winter Term: Yasuhiro Sakamoto

We welcome our new fellow Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasuhiro Sakamoto at the CAS »Imaginaria of Force«. Yasuhiro Sakamoto is an Image and Computer scientist. He is currently a Project Associate Professor at the Global Research Institute at Keio University in Tokyo. His research lies at the intersection of image studies, Gestalt psychology, epistemology and empirical aesthetics. He is particularly interested in developing neuronale Bildwissenschaften, a field that combines image studies with psychophysical and neuroscientific methodologies. During his research stay at the CAS from mid-October to mid-December 2026, he will investigate the topic »The Triplehelix of Force in Images«.
