Carla Mendes has been pursuing her bachelor’s degree in German Language and Literature at the University of Hamburg since the winter term of 2023/24, minoring in English and American Studies. After one year of supporting the Literature Department at the Ministry of Culture and Media Hamburg, she started working as a student assistant for Prof. Dr. Julia Nantke in September 2026 with a focus on Digital Humanities. Moreover, she has joined the DFG CAS »Imaginaria of Force« as student assistant for Dr. Adrian Renner and regularly leads tutorials in the field of New German Literature.
