The CAS »Imaginarien der Kraft« (UHH) invites applications for the international and interdisciplinary Conference »Die Kraft der Avantgarden. Formen und Funktionen einer ästhetischen Bezugsgröße zwischen 1900 und 1940«, which will take place from January 4 to 6, 2026 at Hamburg.

We welcome submissions from literature, art, cultural, music and media studies, the history of knowledge and philosophy as well as from related disciplines and ask for abstracts (max. 500 words) for presentations of 25-30 minutes as well as short bio-bibliographical information (in one PDF file) by May 10, 2025 to caroline.adler"AT"uni-hamburg.de. Abstracts can be submitted in German or English. A passive understanding of both languages is required. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered; a publication of the contributions is planned.
