Call: Workshop 24./25.09.2026 »Ethico-Aesthetics of Landscape«, Florence

The Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max Planck Institut and the CAS »Imaginarien der Kraft« (UHH) invite applications for the transdisciplinary workshop »Ethico-Aesthetics of Landscape«, which will take place on September 24 and 25, 2026 at Florence.

Landscapes are not merely objects of aesthetic perception but also media of ethical and political order. The workshop explores landscape as image, metaphor, and imaginative construct through which ideas of nature, community, and responsibility are negotiated.

We ask for abstracts (max. 2000 characters) for presentations of 25 minutes as well as brief biography (in one PDF file) by July 3, 2026 to franca.buss"AT"uni-hamburg.de and ResearchGroup-Gruendler"AT"khi.fi.it.
